Katie Halvorson

Katie Halvorson hails from Buffalo, MN and graduated from Concordia University St. Paul with a dual degree in Business Management and Sports Management. While completing her undergraduate degree Katie was a member of the DII women’s soccer team. After undergrad, she moved out east to Washington, DC to pursue her Master’s degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University. Between her two degrees, she has completed eight different internships ranging from professional sports teams, such as the Minnesota Vikings and now the Washington Football Team to universities and sport non-profits.[/vc_column_text]

Katie joined the Baltimore S.A.F.E. team in 2017 as an Operations Assistant. While working S.A.F.E. part-time, she was also an Event Service Manager for the Washington Football Team. This included running all non-NFL major events throughout FedEx Field and their main office location in Ashburn, VA. A year later, Katie helped open a new Sky Zone as an Operations Manager in East Baltimore. In addition, she has worked for an advertising agency, Executive Media Communications, implementing contracts for five different Papa John’s locations across the country. Most recently, she worked for Twin Cities Soccer Leagues as an Interim League Administrator, running and organizing some of Minnesota’s biggest youth soccer leagues and tournaments throughout the 2021 summer. Katie is also an adjunct professor for Concordia University St. Paul and teaches a Sport Business class for the university.

Katie joined the Baltimore S.A.F.E. team full-time in July 2021 as an Office and Event Coordinator. She looks forward to learning, growing and making a positive impact on the event/sports industry.
